REGISTERED TEAMS / START TIMES

View COURSE CHANGES.
Captains may login to view Start time (available during 3rd week of April) and estimated pace.

TEAMS ARE LISTED (link at bottom of page) AFTER THE TEAM ENTRY FEE IS PROCESSED
Corporate teams or team sponsors are shown in parentheses following the team name.

COMPETITIVE (Winning) VS NONCOMPETITIVE (Fun) TEAMS
1. Teams faster than 28 hours/190 miles may run 30 or 36 legs (includes new legs 1-6).
2. Teams slower than 28 hours/190 miles (9 min./mile) will run 30 legs:
Van 2 begins in Napa (Exchange 6): 3 legs/runner,
Van 1 begins in Marin (Exchange 12): 2 legs/runner with an option for 3 legs/runner with 5 or 6 runners crossing the Golden Gate Bridge (Leg 18) as a group.
On a team of 10, each runner will run 3 legs. Several teams of 6 have elected to run 5 legs each.
3. Competitive teams (those trying to win a division) running 30 legs must have a minimum of 5 members run as a group on leg 18 across the Golden Gate Bridge. Non-competitive teams have the option of 5 or 6 members running leg 18 together (see 2 above).
4. Teams requesting 2 legs/runner will start in Marin (Exchange 12) and run 125 miles.
Competitive: Teams desiring to be recognized as winners of a division must follow all Rules including new Rule 20 requiring a minimum of 5 members to run as a group on leg 18 across the Golden Gate Bridge. Submasters (minimum age 30) and Masters (minimum age 40) teams must submit a copy of each runner's driver license at the Start.
Noncompetitive: Fun teams (the majority of teams) do not need to maintain the order of runners submitted on the Roster/Waiver at the start, however, it is logistically advantageous to do so.

DIVISIONS ARE ABBREVIATED FOLLOWED BY CATEGORY
Open Men's is the default division since additional criteria must be fulfilled to participate in another division. Categories with less than 5 teams will be combined with another category.
Divisions: C=Corporate (employees of the same company), P=Public Safety/Law Enforcement/Military (active military or employees of a law enforcement agency), O=Open (minimum age 16), S=Submasters (minimum age 30), M=Masters (minimum age 40).
Categories: M=Men's (0-5 women), X=Mixed (6-11 women), W=Women's (12 women).
Examples: SM=Submasters Men's, OX=Open Mixed, MM=Masters Men's.

START TIMES ARE POSTED DURING THE THIRD WEEK OF APRIL.
Start times are calculated from runner paces and adjusted to reduce vehicle congestion. Captains must instruct runners to enter their average minute per mile pace for a 10K. Teams that submit inaccurate pace times may start too early, run ahead of Exchange openings and miss the fun. Teams that finish more than 2 hours ahead of their estimate will be penalized.

START TIME REQUEST FEE IS $100 ($200 after April 20)
because start time issues are time intensive. Include team name, current start and requested start on your check (payable to The Relay).

THE $50/RUNNER MANDATORY FUNDRAISING FOR ORU IS DUE BY THE START
